Sewa Kroetkov - kickflip crook

I have been involved with every episode of "Skateboarding in Slow Motion." Posting each episode every week they go up would be repetitive. But, every once in a while a trick is done so well I need to acknowledge it.

Without hesistation, Sewa Kroetkov generously fulfilled my request to do two kickflip crooks on the box. I honestly can't tell the difference between the two tries. He does the trick how I imagine it should be done- perfect flick caught with the toes already pointed for the crook. Textbook- for lack of a better term. Side note, when operating the slowmo camera there is a minor delay between what is happening and what the camera displays- so I am extra excited to have been in sync with Sewa when capturing the moment. Glad to share this with all of you.

NEW Tony Hawk part

New Tony Hawk part for Independent Truck Co. Jared Prindle and I shot Tony here and there for the past 6 months to make this happen. It's always impressive to watch Tony skate. Even more so when he's pushing his limits for and Indy part. Enjoy!

Rad Science at UC Berkeley

I had the opportunity to attend and shoot Tony's Rad Science exhibit at UC Berkeley this past weekend. The setup for the kids was crazy. They had plenty of things to play and toy around with while learning some basic physics principles. The location had a gorgeous view overlooking the Bay too. What not to enjoy?

Spencer Nuzzi - MISHKA

Teamed up with Mr. Nuzzi again! This time for his clothing sponsor, Mishka, located out of NYC. I don't think many people expected a part from Spencer anytime soon, but that's just how he does it.

Oscar Loreto Jr.

I had the privilege of creating a piece with Oscar Loreto Jr., an inspiring skateboarder born without hands or a left foot. We had to cram all of the shooting into one afternoon, but Oscar was a champ and gave me more than I could have asked for. I can only hope that everyone can find Oscar's story inspiring, even if they don't skate.

(insight) Walker Ryan

Filmed/produced/edited this video with my buddy, Walker Ryan. He has such a positive attitude you cant help but become absorbed in his stories. I had a fun time shooting this whole piece between SD and SF. Part 2 out soon.
Bad Religion's Jay Bentley on Skateboarding and Music

Filmed this piece a few months back and it's finally out. I never knew anything about Jay before this day and he turned out to be such a cool guy.

Chris Pastras: Stereo Skateboards history

Shot and edited this video of Chris Pastras and the history of his skate brand, Stereo skateboards.

Hand in Hand: Tom DeLonge

Had the opportunity to shoot this quick interview about Tom's early skate influences. The shoot was quick. It feels like everything that was shot made its way into the final edit.

Molotov Solution "Blood of Tyrants"

Teamed up with Josh Knoff (director) again for Molotov Solution's video. It was a busy night of shooting well into the early morning, but I am very pleased with the result.

Birdhouse @ Woodward West

A week at summer camp! Woodward West lodged us for their video competition against other teams. Here is our video from our stay. It has a very "campy" feel...

Birdhouse NYC vert demo

The New York vert demo was one of my favorites. The ramp was driven out here from SD and assembled on Pier 54 for the New Yorker's delight. The skating was great, the crowds were dense, and the vibe was good. Enjoy the video...

Birdhouse @ Columbia, SC

Birdhouse @ Fayetteville, NC

Tony Hawk & pools

Fortunate enough to tag along for a pool session with legends Tony Hawk and Lance Mountain. Such a fun time. Hopefully I was able to capture a dose of the excitement in this video. Once they were done skating I took a few runs in the pool. Gotta say, it was such a rush to ride!

insight: Andrew Reynolds 2

Direct, to the point, and not beating around the bush, Andrew Reynolds boldly answers our tough questions. I give him a lot of credit for being so open about his past and trying to be a better role-model for the skaters who admire him so much. Enjoy part 2...

insight: Andrew Reynolds

Andrew Reynolds has been at the forefront of street skateboarding for as long as I've been skating. It was a great privilege to get to interview him and understand his motivations a bit more. Enjoy!

Austyn Gillette

Before this day of filming I had never met Austyn. I had only seen the terrific video parts that he had in the Habitat videos. Plainly put, his skating is just as exciting to watch in person, if not more. AND the guy is down to earth! I hope we get to film again sometime soon. Side note, Austyn played and recorded the music himself for this video- A definite plus!
