Molotov Solution "Blood of Tyrants"

Teamed up with Josh Knoff (director) again for Molotov Solution's video. It was a busy night of shooting well into the early morning, but I am very pleased with the result.

Birdhouse @ Woodward West

A week at summer camp! Woodward West lodged us for their video competition against other teams. Here is our video from our stay. It has a very "campy" feel...

Birdhouse NYC vert demo

The New York vert demo was one of my favorites. The ramp was driven out here from SD and assembled on Pier 54 for the New Yorker's delight. The skating was great, the crowds were dense, and the vibe was good. Enjoy the video...

Tony Hawk & pools

Fortunate enough to tag along for a pool session with legends Tony Hawk and Lance Mountain. Such a fun time. Hopefully I was able to capture a dose of the excitement in this video. Once they were done skating I took a few runs in the pool. Gotta say, it was such a rush to ride!

insight: Andrew Reynolds 2

Direct, to the point, and not beating around the bush, Andrew Reynolds boldly answers our tough questions. I give him a lot of credit for being so open about his past and trying to be a better role-model for the skaters who admire him so much. Enjoy part 2...

insight: Andrew Reynolds

Andrew Reynolds has been at the forefront of street skateboarding for as long as I've been skating. It was a great privilege to get to interview him and understand his motivations a bit more. Enjoy!

Austyn Gillette

Before this day of filming I had never met Austyn. I had only seen the terrific video parts that he had in the Habitat videos. Plainly put, his skating is just as exciting to watch in person, if not more. AND the guy is down to earth! I hope we get to film again sometime soon. Side note, Austyn played and recorded the music himself for this video- A definite plus!

JAWS is PRO

Aaron "JAWS" Homoki is pro! During our last trip to Kentucky we got to skate an abandoned waterpark. Aaron was flying. I knew the only way to properly document was get right in there with him. It was well worth it. Congratulations, Aaron! You deserve it.

Concrete Disciples Article

It's not very often an article is written about a single session. Pretty fun day of skating/filming at these perfect pools.

Red Bull Triple Set contest

Red Bull hosted a triple set contest at the Del Mar Fair this past Father's Day. It was a long day of qualifying for the skaters, but it was well worth it to watch the finals.

Ollie - Aaron "JAWS" Homoki

Aaron Homoki may have broke the world record for the largest thing/obstacle/stairset/whatever you call it that has EVER been done on a skateboard. I was lucky enough to have been the one to film and edit the trick. I think the world agrees with how incredibly talented Aaron is.

enRoute. (a Birdhouse roadtrip)

I was on the road for 2 weeks with the Birdhouse Am's. We primarily set out to film for clips that will come out throughout the year as promotional material. However, knowing that I had a good chunk of footage that I didn't want sitting around, I put together a little synopsis of what the whole trip was all about.

Door 33: Tony Hawk

The guys at Quiksilver completed construction of the skatepark just in the nick of time for Tony to skate it. They had painted the ramp hours before we showed up. I think Tony did a good job on the park's maiden voyage. Enjoy!

QUIKSILVER Door 33

Working on a new bi-weekly show for Quiksilver. They recently built a new skatepark in their massive warehouse so we get to come on up and make short videos with their team riders. Here't the first episode. I had a lot of fun filming it because it reminded so much of those HGTV improvement shows I know so well. Fun stuff!

insight: Willy Santos

Willy and I have been friends for quite some time, somewhere around the 10 year mark. Without a doubt Willy has greatly contributed to skating throughout his career, which has just hit the 20 year mark! Please enjoy a little insight into Mr. Willy Santos.

Sensible Portions commercial

Shot a commercial for a potato chip company, Sensible Portions. The spot features Birdhouse skateboarder, Elliot Sloan. He's super good at skating and a fun guy too. We plan on shooting more videos for Birdhouse together soon.

No Bragging Rights music video

I got to DP another music video directed by my good friend, Josh Knoff. Josh had some great ideas for the band before we even started filming. I was given freedom to shoot this one, so I went to town creatively with my lighting and camerawork. Thanks, Josh. I'm pleased with the results on this one.

Free Lunch: Rob Welsh

Rob is super funny. I think he's aware of how powerful videocameras can be in ruining someone's reputation. He did a good job of being modest when the camera was rolling. Enjoy!

Phoenix Am contest 2011

The first few days of the recent Birdhouse filming trip involved the Phoenix Am contest. A few of the six Birdhouse riders that I was filming did very well. Cheers!

Free Lunch with Nate Sherwood

Nate and I met five or six years ago, and every time since was crazier than the last. Ladies and gentlemen, mi amigo, Nate Sherwood.

(insight) Mike Vallely

I jumped right on the idea of having an insight featuring Mike V. For as long as I have been involved in skating, Mike has always made his presence known and has positively given back. My goal for his insight was to dive head first into his trademarks and hopefully shine a new light on him. Here is part #1 of Mike Vallely, insight.

Wedding: Duane + Sarah

My good friend, Josh, and myself occasionally shoot weddings. Duane and Sarah are good friends with Josh so we wanted to make their's spectacular. I'm pretty proud of what we delivered. Enjoy all you lovebirds!

(insight) John Lupfer part 1

I recently created a show for ShredorDie.com called "insight." Fortunately, my good friend and fellow skateboarder, John Lupfer, took the gamble and allowed me to make the first series about himself. John's a great guy who has always had a unique way about himself. Hopefully you can get a glimpse into his life. I shot, edited, and produced this whole series of videos. The rest will be released throughout the month. Enjoy!

Quiksilver All 80s

After an intense sleepless weekend of editing we managed to get the video of the contest posted. The event truly was an amazing time. It was exciting to see all of these classics skating together and feeding off of each other. You couldn't help but be hyped off 'em. I hope the video shows how great it really was.

All 80's Quiksilver Trailer

Recently shot a promo video for Quiksilver's "All '80s All Day" contest. This was such a fun day. The spot features Tony Hawk, Christian Hosoi, Kevin Staab and Mike McGill. I had never met Christian or Mike until this day, but they were all non-stop comedy. I can't wait to see how the video for the actual event turns out. Enjoy!
